Max Greiner, Jr., a Christian evangelical artist, stands next to a 77' 7", 70-ton steel cross that he designed. The cross is part of his vision for "The Coming King" Sculpture Prayer Garden, which is situated atop a 400-ft hill near the intersection of Interstate 10 and State Highway 16 in Kerrville, Texas. On March 1, 2010 State District Judge Keith Williams issued a settlement between The Coming King Foundation and local residents who blocked the cross from being erected in a 15-month dispute over the enforcement of Texas real estate issues. Many local residents donԴ want their community to become known for a humongous cross that they think might send the wrong signal about KerrvilleԳ religious and spiritual tolerance.
